LBC Meeting CANCELLED

Severe Winter Storm Conditions

To the Membership of the Virginia Association of USA Boxing,
It is with deep regret that I am forced to cancel tomorrows meeting as
planned. After counsel by Coach Jerry Royster, Meeting Host, Silver
Gloves Representative and Coach Cobra Boxing, and Secretary Greg
Roberts, Owner In Motion Boxing, it was decided to cancel the meeting
due to winter storm conditions. At last report Jerry had 5 inches of
snow on his street and Greg was stranded at a restaurant parking lot.
Further conversations with the Reggie Barnett, Sr., Tournament
Chairman and Owner of 757 Boxing Club, voiced his concerns with the
reports he had been receiving from the News. Reggie had talked
previously with Robert Jackson, Owner Roughouse Boxing and was in
concurrence with the reccomended decision.
Please pass the word to any you know that may be planning to attend.
The meeting has been suggested to be rescheduled as soon as possible.
According to the Calendar the next possible date is Saturday, 01,
2010. Next weekend is Christmas and is ruled out. New Years Eve is
Thursday of the following week so that would still allow everyone time
allowed to enjoy the New Year celebration.
I will contact the rest of the Board of Directors, this weekend and
confer on the date proposed. I encourage membership to contact me with
their concerns on this date. Please let me know if that date is good
for you or an alternate date that is more desirable. Please contact me
at vbzmach
...@gmail.com or call me with your concerns. This will be
challenging at best but together we will get the job done. We will
post a date for the next meeting.

I would like to take this opportunity to post a few of the great
